Highmark Health's Allegheny Health Network seeks a Medical Assistant to support coordinated patient care under supervision. Responsibilities include patient rooming, vital signs, medication screening, and EHR documentation in a team-based clinical setting.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or GED and an approved Medical Assistant program certification; a preferred associate's degree is noted.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School / GED or completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Certification required: NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA or company-proctored option.
• Preferred Associate's Degree.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate patient care under supervision and within team-based settings.
• Prepare and room patients per standard workflows.
• Record vital signs, patient history, tobacco use, and medication screening.
• Assist with depression screening tools and annual wellness visits.
• Review and update medication lists in the EHR.
• Assist with orders, prescriptions, refills, or other orders per AHN protocols.
• Perform back-office testing and assist providers with exams and procedures.
• May serve as a scribe with training and handle follow-up communications with patients.
