Job summary

Highmark Health in McMurray, PA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support coordinated patient care under the supervision of providers. You will room patients, take vital signs, document medical histories, screen for tobacco and medications, and assist with tests and procedures per AHN protocols.

You'll maintain clean exam rooms, manage supply inventories, and ensure accurate documentation in the EHR while following HIPAA and privacy policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Must obtain Medical Assistant certification (NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA) within 120 days.
• Preferred Associate's Degree.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care under supervision of the provider.
• Prepare and room patients per standard workflows.
• Accurately obtain vital signs and document patient information.
• Assist with depression screening and wellness visits as applicable.
• Maintain examination rooms and inventory of supplies.
• Document in the EHR and follow HIPAA and privacy policies.
• May travel between physician offices as needed.
