Banner Health in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to handle administrative coordination across the patient care continuum. You will manage patient needs assessments, insurance verification, registration, documentation, and scheduling to ensure a seamless patient experience.

As part of Banner Staffing Services-AZ, you will support clinical teams and help maintain compliance, accuracy, and timely communication with patients and providers.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Three or more years of experience in a hospital or medical office setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to work with confidential information and sensitive issues.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal relations, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient intake and registration tasks in collaboration with the clinical care team.
• Obtains and verifies patient insurance information and authorizations.
• Maintains and updates patient records and documentation in BI/EMR systems.
• Schedules physician appointments, tests, procedures, and surgeries; provides prep instructions.
• Acts as liaison between patient, billing, and payors to optimize revenue and resolve issues.
