Banner Health is seeking a Physician Practice Patient Assistant in Mesa, AZ to provide exceptional customer service and support patient flow through admissions, scheduling, and paperwork completion. You will liaise between providers and clinical staff to keep operations smooth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Requires about 6 months of healthcare experience.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Collects patient data, escorts patients to exam rooms, takes vitals and documents interactions.
• Assists patients with completing documents and initiates interpreter services for those with barriers, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintains a clean, well-stocked environment per infection prevention standards and assists in room setup as needed.
• Receives incoming calls, routes messages to appropriate staff, and assists with mail, supplies, and purchasing requests.
• Ensures medical records are complete and compliant with state and federal laws; assists in disclosure requests.
• Improves patient flow through courteous, proactive service and effective handling of scheduling conflicts.
