Job summary

Shields Health Care Group is seeking a Patient Care Representative to deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism, efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, handling copays and insurance questions, assisting with iPad check-in, facilitating language services, and ensuring proper patient flow with technologists and radiologists. Includes data entry, mail processing, and onboarding support.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and computer proficiency required.
• Attention to detail and accurate data entry.
• Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to multi-task and exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and collect copay/deductible/insurance and explain consent forms.
• Assist with iPad check-in and troubleshoot as needed.
• Identify language service needs and provide assistance.
• Distribute films/CDs while adhering to HIPAA and privacy policies.
• Collaborate with technologists and radiologists to ensure patient flow.
• Process mail and deliveries; prepare next-day appointment schedules.
• Enter information into systems and handle scheduling emergencies.
• Support with machine utilization via templates and waitlists.
• Respond to patient and doctor inquiries accurately and professionally.
• Notify management of issues affecting the company or departments.
• Stay updated on policy/procedure changes and maintain petty cash accuracy.
• Assist onboarding and training of new employees.
• Maintain survey response rates according to guidelines.
