Job summary

Shields Health is seeking a Patient Care Representative to deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism, efficiency and accuracy on Sundays. You will greet patients, collect copays, assist with iPad check-in, and help with scheduling while maintaining HIPAA standards.

Strong communication, attention to detail and computer proficiency are required; ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency required.
• Attention to detail and typing accuracy required.
• Ability to multi task and exceed customer expectations is required.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time while performing data entry.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, collect copays/deductible/co-insurance and explain the consent form.
• Assist patients with Ipad check in process and troubleshoot as needed.
• Recognize when language services are needed and provide assistance.
• Distribute films/CDs while maintaining HIPAA and patient privacy.
• Collaborate with technologists/radiologists to ensure proper patient flow.
• Process outgoing and incoming mail and deliveries.
• Prepare setup for next day’s appointment and flag issues.
• Verify and enter information into our systems.
• Respond to scheduling emergencies accurately and professionally.
• Maintain confidentiality of all customer groups and daily cash handling.
• Support onboarding and training of new employees.
• Work with multiple departments to improve workflow and survey returns.
• Keep management informed of situations impacting the company.
