Job summary

Shields Health Care Group is seeking a Patient Care Representative to deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism, efficiency and accuracy. This role covers one 10-hour shift on Sundays.

You will greet patients, collect copays, assist with iPad check-in, use language services when needed, and ensure HIPAA compliance while coordinating with technologists and radiologists. The position also involves processing mail, preparing the next day’s schedule, data entry, and handling

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency required.
• Attention to detail and typing accuracy required.
• Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to multi task and exceed customer expectations is required.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time while simultaneously performing data entry and information intake via phone.
• Can be met with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, collect copay/deductible/coinsurance and explain consent forms.
• Assist patients with iPad check-in and troubleshoot as needed.
• Recognize when language services are needed.
• Distribute films/CDs while maintaining HIPAA and patient privacy.
• Collaborate with technologists/radiologists to ensure proper patient flow.
• Process incoming/outgoing US and inter-office mail and UPS deliveries.
• Prepare setup for next day’s appointment schedule and communicate issues.
