Job summary

Carolina Eyecare Physicians in Charleston, SC, is seeking a Patient Care Representative to be the first and last contact for patients. You will greet visitors, verify information, assist with forms, and provide a friendly, efficient check-in experience.

The role requires a high school diploma, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and prior customer service experience. You will manage appointments, assist with questions, and support daily administrative tasks in a busy ophthalmology and eye care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Prior experience in a customer service role.
• Must be able to work under pressure and respond to patient requests positively.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct all patients, visitors, and staff on entry to the practice.
• Verify information and assist with questions about patient questionnaires and forms.
• Print daily schedules for team and physicians.
• Attend to walk-in patients, scheduling inquiries, and prescription/record pickup.
• Disseminate information using telephone systems and/or software as appropriate.
• Cross-check and update next-day charts as per appointment schedule.
• Maintain an orderly, safe workspace for patients and staff.
• Complete appointment confirmation calls as scheduled.
• Collect co-payments, non-covered service fees, and balances at checkout.
• Fill out essential reports and forms as requested.
• Perform additional administrative duties as needed.
