Job summary

US Eye seeks a Patient Care Representative to be the friendly, professional first point of contact for patients. You will manage check-in processes, answer questions, and help coordinate schedules with physicians across our Carolina Eyecare Physicians network.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, customer-service experience, and proficient use of Microsoft Office. The role requires multi-tasking in a fast-paced setting and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Prior experience in a customer service role.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct patients, visitors, and staff upon entry. Monitor reception areas and assist as needed.
• Provide efficient check-in experience by verifying information and answering questions.
• Print daily schedules and coordinate appointment flow for the day.
• Handle walk-ins, scheduling inquiries, and prescription/record pickup as needed.
• Disseminate information via telephone and computer systems as appropriate.
• Update charts based on appointment schedules for the next day.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace ensuring safety and privacy.
• Make appointment confirmation calls as scheduled.
• Collect co-payments and balances during check-out.
