Shields Health Care Group is seeking a Patient Care Representative to deliver exceptional customer service and accuracy in a fast-paced environment in Brockton, MA. You will greet patients, collect payments, assist with iPad check-ins, and coordinate with technologists to ensure smooth patient flow.

The role requires strong communication, typing accuracy, and the ability to multitask while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency required.
• Attention to detail and typing accuracy required.
• Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to multi task and exceed customer expectations is required.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time while data entry and information intake via phone.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, collect copay/deductible/coinsurance and explain the consent form.
• Assist patients with iPad check-in, troubleshoot and provide feedback.
• Recognize when language services are needed.
• Distribute films/CDs while maintaining HIPAA and patient privacy.
• Collaborate with technologists/radiologists to ensure patient flow.
• Process outgoing and incoming mail and deliveries.
• Prepare setup for next day’s appointment schedule and flag issues.
• Maintain confidentiality of all customer groups.
• Verify and enter information into systems.
• Respond to scheduling emergencies.
• Support Customer Care with machine utilization using the waitlist templates.
• Answer patient and doctor concerns with accuracy and professionalism.
• Keep management informed of situations impacting the company or departments.
• Stay current on policy changes.
