Job summary

Shields Health Care Group is seeking a Patient Care Representative in Brockton, MA. The role focuses on greeting patients, collecting payments, and ensuring accurate check-in workflows with HIPAA compliance.

You will coordinate with technologists and radiologists to maintain smooth patient flow and support front-desk operations. Responsibilities include handling mail, data entry, and preparing next day’s schedule while maintaining confidentiality and high service standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency required.
• Attention to detail and typing accuracy required.
• Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to multi task and exceed customer expectations is required.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while performing data entry.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and collect copay/deductible/coinsurance and explain consent forms.
• Assist patients with iPad check-in, troubleshoot and provide feedback.
• Recognize when language services are needed and adjust accordingly.
• Distribute films/CDs while maintaining HIPAA and privacy policies.
• Collaborate with technologists/radiologists to ensure patient flow.
• Process mail and deliveries; prepare next day’s appointment setup.
• Verify information in systems and maintain confidentiality.
• Respond to scheduling emergencies and support waitlists.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new staff.
