Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Patient Liaison to support customer service, equipment deliveries, and hospital-based operations. You will verify patient insurance, explain financial responsibilities, and collect payments using AdaptHealth electronic tools.

The role requires strong communication and service skills, the ability to work with hospital staff, and a commitment to HIPAA and compliance policies. Training and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to work with hospital staff and patients.
• Knowledge of insurance processes and patient billing is a plus.
• Ability to learn and use AdaptHealth electronic tools.

Responsibilities

• Be knowledgeable of AdaptHealth policies and procedures.
• Represent AdaptHealth professionally with patients, referral sources, and hospital personnel.
• Maintain and increase revenue from hospital/facility orders.
• Develop knowledge of home equipment, insurance guidelines, eligibility, and reimbursement.
• Process equipment orders, ensure proper working order and delivery paperwork.
• Deliver/pick up supplies and equipment in a courteous, timely manner.
• Explain insurance verification to patients and discuss financial responsibilities.
• Inform patients about their rights and billing and collect payments as needed.
• Train patients and caregivers on equipment use and service details.
• Complete required compliance training and maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
