Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Patient Liaison to support hospital and home-delivery processes and educate patients on equipment use.

You will verify insurance benefits, communicate patient financial responsibilities, and coordinate deliveries to ensure timely service and satisfaction. The role involves engaging with patients, referral sources, and hospital staff to grow revenue and promote AdaptHealth services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree preferred.
• 1 year of healthcare, administrative, insurance, customer service, or management experience.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license in the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Be knowledgeable of AdaptHealth policies applicable to this role.
• Represent AdaptHealth professionally with patients, referral sources, and hospital personnel.
• Maintain and grow revenue from hospital/facility orders.
• Know home equipment, insurance guidelines, eligibility, and reimbursement.
• Fulfill equipment orders, ensure proper working equipment, and collect required paperwork.
• Deliver/pick up supplies and equipment courteously and timely.
• Explain insurance verification and patient financial responsibilities.
• Train and educate patients and caregivers on equipment use.
• Process payments using electronic tools and obtain signatures on paperwork.
• Coordinate with departments to minimize delivery expenses and improve service.
• Promote products/services during sales/service rounds in hospitals.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
