Job summary

Barrow Brain and Spine is seeking a Care Coordinator to support our world-class neurosurgery team in Phoenix. You will register patients, maintain electronic records, and coordinate clinic flow to ensure timely, high-quality patient care.

You will greet patients, assist with vitals, manage chart documentation, and collaborate with physicians and staff to uphold our standards of excellence. A strong focus on patient experience guides every task.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree a plus.
• Experience: 1-2 years in medical setting required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
• Passionate about creating a superior patient experience and fostering excellence.

Responsibilities

• Registers new patients in the EMR prior to scheduling the appointment, including demographic and insurance info.
• Performs care coordination and clerical/customer service functions for the physician's office.
• Ensures all notes, reports, and forms are available to the physician before patient arrival.
• Opens chart encounters in the EMR and maintains patient records.
• Greets and rooms patients and facilitates clinic flow.
• Takes vitals and records assessments in the patient chart.
• Enters orders and creates clinical visit summaries; schedules follow-ups.
• Communicates with physician staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintains office equipment and supplies; participates in education opportunities.
