Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree a plus.
• 1-2 years of experience in a medical setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Register new patients in the EMR prior to scheduling appointments.
• Perform clerical and customer service functions for the physician's office.
• Ensure all initial consultations, notes, lab slips, radiology and pathology reports are available to the physician prior to arrival.
• Open chart encounters in AthenaOne and maintain patient records.
• Greet and room patients for clinic visits.
• Take vitals and document assessments in patient charts.
• Enter orders and E-Prescribe information and create visit summaries.
• Schedule follow-up appointments as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and follow guidelines.
• Provide coverage to other positions as requested.
