Job summary

Barrow Brain and Spine is seeking a dedicated Care Coordinator to join our physician-owned neurosurgery and spine care team in Phoenix. You will register patients, manage the EMR, greet and room patients, take vitals, and ensure timely availability of notes and reports for physicians.

Responsibilities include charting assessments, processing orders, scheduling follow-ups, and maintaining patient confidentiality. A high school diploma is required; related degree and medical experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree a plus.
• Experience: 1–2 years in medical setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Register new patients in the EMR prior to scheduling appointments.
• Ensure all notes, lab slips, and reports are available to the physician.
• Greet, room, and take vitals; document assessments in the chart.
• Enter orders and e-prescribe information; create visit summaries.
• Schedule follow-up appointments; coordinate with physician staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and operate office equipment; assist with coverage as needed.
