Job summary

Barrow Brain and Spine, a physician-owned specialty practice in Phoenix, seeks a Care Coordinator Float to perform clerical and customer service tasks for the physician's office you are rotating through.

Key responsibilities include registering patients in EMR, ensuring access to notes and reports, greeting patients, taking vitals, and coordinating follow-up appointments while maintaining HIPAA compliance and high patient-satisfaction standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Registers new patients in the EMR prior to scheduling appointments.
• Ensures all notes, lab slips, radiology and pathology reports are available to the physician.
• Opens chart encounters in Athena One and maintains patient records.
• Greets and rooms patients for clinic visits.
• Takes vitals and records assessments in the patient chart.
• Enters orders and E-Prescribe information; creates visit summaries.
• Schedules follow-up appointments as needed.
• Communicates with physician staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintains clinic supplies and assists with recalls and testing as needed.
• Acts as an ambassador of the practice with patients and visitors.
