Job summary

Barrow Brain and Spine, a physician-owned specialty practice in neurosurgery and spine care, is seeking a Care Coordinator to perform clerical and customer service duties for the physician's office. You will register patients, gather notes and test results, and help ensure timely and accurate patient care.

You will greet patients, record vitals, process orders, and coordinate follow-up visits while maintaining HIPAA compliance and contributing to a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of experience in a medical setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Register new patients in the EMR prior to scheduling appointments.
• Ensure all initial consultations, notes, lab slips, radiology and pathology reports are available to the physician.
• Open chart encounters in Centricity and maintain patient records.
• Greet and room patients for clinics and take vitals.
• Enter orders and E-Prescribe information and create visit summaries.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate referrals to other providers.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
