Job summary

Barrow Brain and Spine is seeking an experienced Lead in a physician-administered setting to oversee staff workflows, scheduling, and patient registration. The role supports physicians, coordinates calendars, and ensures timely access to care.

You’ll manage insurance authorizations, referrals, and clinical operations while training new Coordinators and ensuring compliant billing practices. A strong service culture and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Education: High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree a plus.
• Experience: 2 years of Lead experience in medical setting required.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
• Passionate about creating a superior patient experience and fostering a culture of excellence.

Responsibilities

• Registers new patients in the EMR and schedules appointments as needed.
• Oversees daily workflow of the physician’s office and supports the Care Coordinator.
• Manages staff schedules, timesheets and PTO in line with guidelines.
• Coordinates physician schedules, travel, and calendar entries.
• Obtains insurance authorizations and schedules surgeries and tests.
• Trains new Care Coordinators and supports daily clinic operations.
• Cares for billing, coding, and maintaining relationships with staff and departments.
