Job summary

Barrow Brain & Spine seeks a Care Coordinator Float to perform clerical and customer service functions for the physician office you support. This role supports scheduling, chart maintenance, and patient flow while ensuring accurate documentation for high-quality care.

You will handle vitals, orders, referrals, and follow-ups, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and acting as a patient advocate within a world-class neurosurgery practice.

Responsibilities

• Registers new patients in the EMR with demographic and insurance details.
• Ensures all notes, lab slips, radiology, and pathology reports are available to the physician before arrival.
• Opens chart encounters in Athena One and maintains patient records for reference.
• Greets patients, rooms them, and facilitates patient clinic flow.
• Takes vitals and records assessments for physician review.
• Enters orders and creates clinical visit summaries; supports timely care.
• Schedules follow-up appointments and coordinates referrals as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality and follows HIPAA guidelines.
• Supports office operations by managing supplies and basic equipment maintenance.
