Job summary

Barrow Brain and Spine is seeking a Care Coordinator to support physicians and patients in a fast-paced medical office. You will register new patients, manage EMR entries in Athenaone, greet and room patients, take vitals, and ensure timely scheduling and follow-ups.

Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, with a focus on delivering an excellent patient experience. The role requires 1–2 years in a medical setting, high school diploma or GED, and a willingness to participate

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree a plus.
• 1–2 years of experience in a medical setting.

Responsibilities

• Register new patients in EMR before scheduling appointments.
• Perform clerical and customer service tasks for the physician's office.
• Ensure essential documents are available to the physician prior to arrival.
• Open chart encounters in Athenaone and maintain patient records.
• Greet patients, room patients, and take vitals.
• Enter orders, E-Prescribe information, and create visit summaries.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate referrals.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Assist with inventory, coverage, and compliance programs.
