Optum is seeking an Associate Patient Care Coordinator in Las Vegas, NV, to handle scheduling, patient registration, cashiering, and front-office support. The role includes answering calls, maintaining accurate insurance and demographic data, and assisting patients throughout their visit.

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm PST. Travel to other sites may be required. Join a team focused on service excellence and health equity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years experience in customer service.
• 1+ years experience providing administrative support in a healthcare, medical office, and/or health insurance environment.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments, verifying visit type and primary care provider.
• Greet patients and check in/out; ensure demographics and insurance data are correct in IDX.
• Collect co-pays and adhere to cash handling policies.
• Maintain waiting area cleanliness and communicate essential information to patients.
• Coordinate with back-office staff to ensure smooth patient flow and resolve issues.
