Optum is seeking an Associate Patient Care Coordinator in San Antonio to support front office operations, including patient check-in, registration, scheduling, and cashiering. You will interact with patients, verify demographics and insurance, and help ensure a smooth visit experience.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1+ year in customer service, basic Excel/Office skills, and bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• 1+ years of experience in customer service.
• Basic level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and manages wait times.
• Check-in/check-out tasks including demographic and insurance verification.
• Collects co-payments and manages cashiering.
• Answers phones and schedules appointments.
• Maintains medical records and documents in the EHR (EPIC).
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients and staff.
