Job summary

Optum is seeking a Patient Access Representative to provide courteous, patient-focused service in a clinical/front-office setting. You will register patients, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and support scheduling before discharge.

Hours include Thursday 4:00PM-10:00PM and Fri-Sun 10:00AM-10:00PM, with 4 weeks of paid training. Office located in Glendale, AZ. External candidates receive a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of customer service experience in hospital/office settings.
• Flexibility for Thursday 4:00PM-10:00PM and Fri-Sun 10:00AM-10:00PM shifts.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients and collects demographics and insurance data.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits in real time.
• Obtains referrals, pre-certifications and authorizations as needed.
• Collects co-pays and explains patient financial obligations.
• Gathers data and schedules appointments prior to discharge.
