Akumin is hiring a Patient Coordinator for our Jacksonville facilities. This PRN role supports patient registration, scheduling, and front-desk duties to ensure a smooth patient experience.

You will assist in patient transport, records, and documentation while maintaining HIPAA compliance and delivering excellent customer service. CPR certification is required before hire; a valid FL driver’s license may be needed for mobile work.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR Certification must be obtained prior to hire (Mobile Radiology and Oncology).
• Valid state driver’s license may be required.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Responsabilidades

• Greet and assist patients, customers and visitors in person and by phone.
• Perform patient registration in systems.
• Answer phone calls professionally.
• May collect payments for time-of-service patient responsibility.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorization.
• Perform preliminary screening and assist in patient transport and setup.
• Prepare and maintain patient records and documentation in HIPAA compliant manner.
• Schedule patient appointments and ensure accurate charting and imaging delivery.
