Akumin Inc. is hiring a Patient Coordinator for our Jacksonville facilities in a PRN capacity. You will greet patients, register them in systems, answer calls, and help ensure a smooth visit from check-in to post-procedure instructions.

The role focuses on delivering excellent patient service, verifying insurance, obtaining authorizations when needed, and assisting the clinical team with documentation while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with office software.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients, customers and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Perform patient registration in various systems and maintain accurate records.
• Answer calls professionally and courteously; collect patient payments when applicable.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations when needed.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage documentation for physicians and patients.
• Ensure HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information and post-procedure instructions.
