Job summary

Akumin is seeking a Patient Coordinator for our Jacksonville facilities on a PRN basis. You will greet patients, handle registration, answer calls, and assist with insurance verification and pre/post-procedure instructions. The role emphasizes accuracy in patient records and strong customer service skills.

The position supports mobile and fixed radiology/oncology settings, offering flexible scheduling and the chance to contribute to a patient-centered care experience across locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior healthcare/customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification may be required before hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, customers and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Register patients in various systems and verify insurance information.
• Schedule patient appointments and collect time-of-service payments where applicable.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure HIPAA-compliant documentation.
