Job summary

Akumin Inc. in Deltona, FL is hiring a part-time, PRN Patient Coordinator to ensure a positive patient experience. You will handle front-desk tasks, patient registration, insurance verification, and scheduling, while guiding patients through pre- and post-procedure instructions.

The role requires local travel to multiple sites when needed, strong customer service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with HIPAA compliance. Bilingual ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; CPR certification before hire.
• Valid state driver’s license may be required; ability to work at multiple sites.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greets and assists patients and callers and handles front-desk registrations.
• Verifies insurance coverage and obtains prior authorization.
• Schedules patient appointments and documents visits in electronic records.
• Transport patients as needed and provides pre/post-procedure instructions.
