Akumin is hiring a PRN Patient Coordinator for Zephyrhills, Wesley Chapel, and Lutz locations. The role centers on patient registration, appointment coordination, and ensuring a positive patient experience across multiple sites.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, verifying insurance, documenting visits, and supporting clinical staff while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Flexible scheduling and cross-site travel are involved.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification may be required prior to hire (mobile settings); CPR certification is a plus for fixed location.
• Valid state driver’s license may be required.
• Ability to work at multiple locations.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Responsabilités

• Greet and assist patients in person and over the phone.
• Perform patient registration in various systems.
• Answer all phone calls professionally and courteously.
• May collect payments for time-of-service.
• May verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorization.
• Prepare patient records and ensure accurate documentation.
• Schedule patient appointments and verify insurance.
• Maintain clean and organized work area; assist in paper/EMR documentation.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance in all duties.
• Assist clinical staff with documentation and image delivery.
