Akumin is hiring a PRN Patient Coordinator for our Jacksonville facilities to ensure a positive patient experience through front-desk support, registration, and clear communication about procedures and expectations.

The role involves assisting with patient transport, documentation, and coordinating with staff to maintain organized records while adhering to HIPAA and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR Certification must be obtained prior to hire.
• Valid state driver's license may be required.
• Ability to work at multiple locations.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, customers and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Perform patient registration in various systems.
• Answer phone calls professionally and courteously.
• May collect payments for time-of-service patient responsibility.
• May verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorization.
