Job summary

DOCS Dermatology Group seeks a Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, collecting and providing information concerning patients’ medical care. You will answer multi-line phones, greet patients and vendors, sign patients in and out, obtain insurance information, schedule appointments, and collect outstanding balances and copays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience with medical terminology is a plus.
• Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians.
• Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards.

Responsibilities

• Answering multi-line phones.
• Greeting patients and vendors.
• Signing patients in and out, obtaining insurance information and any other necessary data.
• Scheduling appointments on the phone and at checkout desks.
• Collecting outstanding balances and copays.
• Providing patients with support and guidance as needed.
• Maintaining safe, secure and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures.
