Job summary

DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking a Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients, greet visitors, handle check-in/out, and direct inquiries with empathy.

You will manage phones, schedule appointments, collect insurance information and payments, and support physicians and staff to maintain a smooth, patient‑centered experience. A high school diploma and interest in medical terminology are preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Experience in customer service is a plus.
• Ability to learn related center tasks and assist management/physicians.
• Self-motivated to achieve high patient care and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Answering multi-line phones.
• Greeting patients and vendors.
• Signing patients in and out, collecting insurance information and any other data.
• Scheduling appointments on the phone and at checkout desks.
• Collecting outstanding balances and copays.
• Providing patients with support and guidance as needed.
• Maintaining a safe, secure and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
