Job summary

Shields Health Care Group is seeking a Patient Care Representative who will deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism, efficiency and accuracy in a busy healthcare setting. Responsibilities include greeting patients, collecting co-pays and insurances, guiding Ipad check-in, ensuring HIPAA compliance, coordinating with radiology staff, handling mail, and maintaining accurate data in patient systems.

Hours: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 6:30am-3pm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Excellent communication and computer proficiency.
• Attention to detail and accurate typing.
• Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to multitask and exceed customer expectations.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while data entering.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and collect copay/deductible/co-insurance and explain forms.
• Assist patients with Ipad check-in, troubleshoot and provide feedback.
• Recognize when language services are needed.
• Distribute films/CDs while upholding HIPAA and privacy policies.
• Collaborate with technologists/radiologists to ensure proper patient flow.
• Process incoming/outgoing mail and deliveries.
• Prepare setup for next day’s appointments and flag issues.
• Maintain confidentiality and enter information into our systems.
• Respond to scheduling emergencies and support waitlist processes.
