Job summary

Fast Pace Health in Clarksville, TN is seeking a Patient Care Specialist to provide administrative support and create a welcoming front desk experience for patients. You will handle patient registration, insurance verification, and coordination with nursing staff while maintaining confidentiality.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and strong customer service skills; training emphasizes MS Outlook, Word, and basic billing tasks in a collaborative team focused on quality care and patient

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or its equivalent with a current CPR license and at least 1 year of customer experience, preferably urgent care.
• Level 2: High School Diploma or its equivalent with a current CPR license and 3 years’ experience in billing and coding and intermediate computer skills, which include typing 70-100 words per minute, knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, including basic formulas and VLOOKUP.
• Level 3: High School Diploma or its equivalent with a current CPR license and 3 years’ experience in billing and coding and intermediate computer skills, which include typing 70-100 words per minute, knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, including basic formulas and VLOOKUP.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a high level of Customer Service to greet, register, and discharge all patients.
• Ability to cross train and assist with back-office duties as needed within scope of practice.
• Accurately collect and input patient demographics and financial information at the time of registration for all patients.
• Verifies and updates all patient insurance information at the time of registration.
• Maintains strong knowledge of Medical Insurance Plans including but not limited to co-pays, deductibles, and coverage limits.
