Job summary

Providence Health & Services is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, both in person and by phone. You will act as a liaison between patients, providers, and care teams to ensure a smooth patient experience, performing scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and demographic updates.

Shifts are 8 or 10 hours with no weekend work required, supporting Primary, Pediatrics, and Specialty Care clinics across the Portland metro

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in medical/healthcare setting.
• Experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion.
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact, providing exceptional customer service to patients and visitors in person and by phone.
• Act as a liaison between patients, providers, and care teams to ensure a smooth patient experience.
• Perform front and back-office duties, including scheduling, registration, insurance verification, updating demographic information and patient support.
• Maintain clinic efficiency through accurate documentation and adherence to workflows within the electronic medical record (EPIC).
• Demonstrate growth and proficiency in supporting Providence's mission of compassionate, high-quality care.
