Job summary

Providence, a Portland-area health system, seeks a Patient Care Coordinator to be the first contact for patients and visitors, in person or by phone. You will support front and back-office tasks, schedule visits, verify insurance, update demographics, and serve as a liaison between patients and providers to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Float pool assignments across PMG clinics in Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas, and Yamhill counties with shifts of 8 or 10 hours; no weekend work required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in medical/healthcare setting.
• Experience delivering high-level customer service in a fast-paced environment, with discretion handling confidential data.
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact, delivering excellent customer service to patients and visitors in person or by phone.
• Act as a liaison between patients, providers, and care teams to ensure a smooth patient experience.
• Perform front and back-office duties, including scheduling, registration, insurance verification, updating demographic information and patient support.
• Maintain clinic efficiency through accurate documentation and adherence to workflows within the electronic medical record (EPIC).
• Demonstrate growth and proficiency in supporting Providence’s mission of compassionate, high-quality care.
