Summit Health in Murray, KY is seeking an entry to mid-level patient support specialist to handle inbound and outbound calls using telephony and EMR systems. You will deliver empathetic service, schedule appointments, and carefully document patient interactions while maintaining HIPAA standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year in a fast-paced call center, and comfort with EMR systems. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred to assist a diverse patient base.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of experience in a fast-paced, high growth call center.
• Excellent telephone etiquette.
• Skilled in basic computer operations and EMR Service center excellence.
• Experience in the medical or health insurance field preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer all phone calls in a patient, empathetic, and accurate manner.
• Consistently process requests with the highest degree of operational accuracy.
• Schedule appointments and communicate details clearly to patients.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation of interactions in the EMR.
• Coordinate with care teams to gather and relay information.
• Utilize EMR/HIN systems to update records and verify patient information.
