Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a patient-centric team member to handle inbound and outbound calls, using telephony and EMR systems. You will deliver premier service, navigate patient needs, and document interactions in the electronic health record with HIPAA compliance.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year in a fast-paced call center, strong telephone etiquette, and a willingness to work in a healthcare environment. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year of experience in a fast-paced, high-growth call center.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and professional communication.
• Basic computer operations and EMR familiarity preferred.
• Service center excellence mindset; healthcare / insurance knowledge a plus.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls with patient, empathetic, and clear communication.
• Process requests with high operational accuracy and speed.
• Solve problems with patience, providing knowledgeable service.
• Schedule appointments and share information clearly to patients.
• Document interactions accurately in the electronic health record.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality.
• Coordinate care using EMR and related health IT systems.
• Support access to care and assist patients with barriers.
