Job summary

NorthLakes Community Clinic is seeking a Patient Service Representative to guide patients through services, manage scheduling via EMR/EDR, and help remove barriers to care. The position requires strong customer service and HIPAA awareness with opportunities to cross-train across front desk duties.

Salary begins at $20.45 per hour, with benefits for full-time and part-time roles. Residency in the service area is required at hire and maintained during employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; postsecondary training preferred.
• CPR certification current or obtainable within six months of employment.
• Experience in customer service is required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors and direct them appropriately.
• Use EMR/EDR to capture demographics and schedule services.
• Coordinate referrals and pre-authorizations as needed.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect payments.
• Answer inquiries and coordinate reminders with patients.
• Provide information about clinic services and paths to care.
