Job summary

Shields Health is seeking a Patient Care Representative/Tech Aide in Winchester, MA for a per diem position. You will greet patients, collect payments, and assist with iPad check-in, ensuring HIPAA compliance and accurate data entry.

You will work with radiology staff to maintain patient flow, handle mail and scheduling issues, and support confidential information handling while providing professional customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• CPR certification required.
• Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency required.
• Attention to detail and typing accuracy required.
• Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Ability to multi task and exceed customer expectations.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while performing data entry and intake.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and collect copay/deductible/coinsurance and explain forms.
• Assist patients with iPad check-in, troubleshoot, and provide feedback.
• Recognize when language services are needed and arrange accordingly.
• Distribute films/CDs while maintaining HIPAA and patient privacy.
• Collaborate with technologists/radiologists for patient flow.
• Process mail and deliveries; prepare next day schedule accordingly.
• Enter and verify information in systems; maintain confidentiality.
• Answer patient and doctor questions accurately and professionally.
• Keep management informed of issues impacting department or patients.
• Assist in patient interview and scan room preparation.
• Maintain copay and petty cash accuracy; assist with daily deposits.
