Responsibilities

• Obtain insurance information and advise on financial assistance options.
• Coordinate scheduling with physicians and clinical staff for urgent or referred scheduling calls/requests.
• Provide patient scheduling services including collecting demographics and insurance data.
• Review schedules for new patients and update as needed.
• Call patients with appointment reminders; obtain insurance information and referrals; process internal referrals for clinical care.
• Explain billing processes to patients and answer inquiries from patients and third-party payers.
• Assist with basic account maintenance activities and explain billing processes to staff.
• Assist staff with reminders and scheduling changes using Relatient.
• Make daily edits to provider scheduling templates based on physician input.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
