Virginia Cancer Specialists, affiliated with the US Oncology Network, is seeking an experienced Medical Appointment Scheduler to join our Fairfax administrative office. The role involves triaging calls, coordinating patient appointments, and supporting staff while upholding patient confidentiality.

As part of a compassionate healthcare team, you will use Microsoft Office and EMR systems, schedule referrals, and assist with insurance authorizations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming calls and direct to appropriate personnel.
• Schedule new and returning patients in the system.
• Obtain and communicate messages accurately and timely.
• Verify insurance and referrals and document in EMR.
• Maintain scheduling templates and coordinate with clinic staff.
• Assist with clerical duties and patient confidentiality.
