Job summary

Eskenazi Health in Indianapolis is seeking a Team Leader for Patient Access Services to coordinate front-end registration, insurance verification and TOS collections in a fast-paced outpatient and hospital setting.

You will supervise frontline staff, ensure adherence to policy, train new personnel and maintain efficient patient flow across Epic work queues and revenue cycle systems. Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; OR two years of experience in patient access or a related medical field; OR one year of supervisory or management experience
• Possesses or completes designated certifications (HBI, Indiana Navigator) at hire or within probation
• Knowledge of Epic, ADT Interface, HIM systems, Patient Access systems and Revenue Cycle billing information systems

Responsibilities

• Monitors quality by auditing departmental outputs and ensures processes are followed
• Resolves customer service complaints; escalates when necessary
• Acts as the on-site SME for frontline staff and trains new personnel
• Ensures adherence to Eskenazi Health policies in Patient Access Services
• Assists supervisors/managers with staff education and updates
• Acts in the absence of supervisors or managers and reports issues
• Maintains positive relationships with patients and staff to promote teamwork
• Keeps Epic work queues cleared per department guidelines
