Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in business, office management or health information management.
• Outpatient registration program completion with score 80%+ or equivalent.
• Knowledge of payer sources and insurance verification.

Responsibilities

• Register patients by validating demographic information and insurance cards.
• Adhere to quality and productivity standards defined by the department.
• Collect prepayments and co-pays as defined by patient insurances.
• Reconcile the cash drawer and balance at end of shift.
• Match and retrieve patients from the EHR system.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits electronically or by phone.
• Interact with clinical and non-clinical staff professionally.
• Maintain data accuracy and assist across Patient Access areas.
