Qualifications

• Education and licensure requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, with an associate degree preferred.
• EPIC certification for the module hired into is required; California driver's license and auto insurance.
• Two+ years in healthcare patient access or call center in a lead role; community clinic experience preferred.
• Advanced telephone skills and computer proficiency; good grammar and MS Office experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the Patient Service Representative (PSR) team, including time/attendance and discipline.
• Provide training for new and existing staff on workflows, system navigation and processes.
• Mentor team members to achieve department goals and maintain service standards.
• Greet staff and patients via phone, in person, or electronic communication per SAC Health guidelines.
• Assist with interviews and onboarding; identify learning and growth opportunities for the team.
• Handle escalations and complex patient scenarios, with escalation when needed.
• Determine program or payer sources based on patient needs and income data.
