Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree OR a High School diploma or GED with four years of relevant experience.
• Two or more years of supervisory, organizational, and customer service skills to effectively supervise staff and manage complex workflow.
• Five or more years of experience in a health care setting, ideally in a patient access or patient financial service setting.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, hospital admissions concepts, policies, and data privacy practices (HIPAA).
• Strong written and verbal communications skills to motivate and convey complex information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate admitting and registration activities across multiple areas.
• Provide staff education and development; set priorities and monitor workflow.
• Develop and implement new procedures to support operations and improve patient flow.
• Collaborate with Pediatric Access Center and other departments to ensure accurate data collection and patient movement.
• Champion discharge not billed (DNB) processes and monitor account follow-up tasks.
• Serve as an Apex power user to optimize workflows and resolve system issues.
