Job summary

Munson Healthcare is seeking a Patient Access Representative to greet patients and direct them to testing and surgical areas in a courteous, welcoming manner. You will be highly mobile, assisting patients, families and visitors, including arranging transportation when needed.

Registration responsibilities include capturing and verifying required information in the registration system, working with staff at all levels, and maintaining confidentiality of medical information.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 2 years formal education or equivalent experience.
• Two (2) years' work experience in customer service, healthcare or business-related field.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, families and other customers in a courteous and welcoming manner.
• Direct patients to testing and surgical areas and assist with transportation as needed.
• Obtain/verify required patient information for registration in the system.
• Maintain confidentiality of medical information and keep work areas organized.
• Access department communications daily and support changes to information collection procedures.
