Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) is seeking a Patient Access Representative to ensure efficient and welcoming patient registration across our system. You will handle financial and demographic data to secure proper reimbursement for services.

The role supports scheduling, insurance verification, and patient communication while maintaining confidentiality and patient safety. Extensive EHR training is provided and a team-based environment promotes growth.

Qualificações

• Education: HS diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• Experience: 1–3 years in related work; computer systems experience required.
• Skills: fast, accurate data entry; able to work in fast-paced setting.
• Preferred: call center or patient service experience; bilingual written/spoken.
• Knowledge: familiarity with EHR software and MS Office applications.

Responsabilidades

• Registers patients for visits and explains the registration process.
• Processes co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles, and balances; safeguards cash.
• Completes Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire and updates coverage.
• Secures signatures on forms; scans and records documents during registration.
• Counsels patients on non-covered services and ABNs; obtain signatures.
• Monitors waiting area to ensure smooth registration flow and patient experience.
• Responds to patient concerns and safety issues; adheres to procedures to contain risk.
• Maintains neat, secure registration desk and protects confidentiality.
• Initiates scheduling by prioritizing calls, messages, and orders.
• Schedules, reschedules, cancels appointments using online and offline sources.
• Liaises with clinical departments; follows scheduling protocols and ensures safe care.
