Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative to ensure a welcoming patient experience during registration, scheduling, and pre-registration processes. The role requires accuracy in collecting demographic and financial information and coordinating with clinical departments to support timely reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced environments and ability to multitask.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong typing and data-entry skills.

Responsabilités

• Registers patients presenting for visits and explains the registration process.
• Processes patient co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles, and balances due; safeguards cash and reconciles drawer.
• Completes the Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire and adjusts coverage accordingly.
• Obtains signatures on consent and financial forms and scans/records documents.
• Counsels patients on non-covered services and ABNs; communicates financial responsibilities.
