Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative to join the Patient Access team, delivering a welcoming, efficient registration experience across channels. You’ll support registration, scheduling, pre-registration and financial clearance with accuracy and confidentiality.

In a fast-paced, collaborative environment, you will process payments, verify insurance, review eligibility in real time, and guide patients through forms and ABNs.

Qualificações

• Education: High school degree or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Experience: 1–3 years in related work; computer systems including web-based apps and MS Office.
• Skills: Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment and process data accurately.
• Preferred: Call Center or telephone customer service experience; 40+ wpm typing; knowledge of medical terminology; bilingual; familiarity with EHR software.

Responsabilidades

• Register patients for visits and explain the registration process.
• Process payments and reconcile cash drawer daily; assist with kiosk check-in.
• Complete Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire and adjust coverage as needed.
• Obtain signatures on forms, scan and record documents; ensure confidentiality.
• Counsel patients on non-covered services and ABNs; guide to financial counseling as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized registration desk and waiting area; ensure patient privacy.
• Respond to patient concerns and safety issues; uphold patient safety protocols.
• Initiate scheduling via calls, messages, and queues; verify insurance and demographics.
